Hi there, Matt here.
I've been a part-time professional portrait photographer for nearly a decade now, currently residing and operating in northeastern Connecticut. My primary focuses include performers, fashion-type portraits, and cosplay. Please get in touch if interested in discussing your upcoming photography or video type needs.
Where did the name come from?
I got my start with people as subjects over a decade ago. A student in a college theater program at the time, I was photographing actor headshots and dance portfolio images for the department, while training as a lighting designer, where I developed a reputation for moving around in the dark silently during rehearsals. Between that and the late hours, the "owl" label was certainly justified.
Portrait photography doesn't allow for silence, but I still carry a special attention for light and shadow in my images. This often translates to a theatrical or cinematic feel, regardless of whether the shoot takes place on stage, in the studio, or out in the wild.

Artist's Mission
No two photography projects should be the same; each should be driven by the collaborative artistic vision of subject, photographer, and the rest of the creative team. I'm all for communication ahead of time to ensure everyone is on the same page. At the end of the day, it's the client's satisfaction that dictates whether the images are successful.
