Cosplay (a contraction of "costume" and "play") goes far beyond the typical Halloween costume of a favorite movie, TV, or game character. Cosplayers spend many hours recreating the look of the character down to the smallest detail. As a photographer, this creates the unique challenge of not only flattering the cosplayer, but also creating an environment for the model to exist and highlighting elements of the costume that are, most of the time, completely hand crafted.
